Ecological and Physiological Studies on Some Algae Species growth in Dukan Lake\ Kurdistan Region of Iraq Kwestan Hassan Sdiq Department of Biology , Faculty of Sceince and Health, Koya University http://koyauniversity.org Abstract: Ecologycal,phycological and Physiological study was done in ten different sites selected within dukan Lake water,the sites were distributed as follows: four sites were selected within the small lake in Dukan area and six site were selected on the main out let canal, along the Qashquolly river in Dukan area within Sulaimani province from May2013 to December 2013. Certain physico-chemical parameters of water were studied by using standard methods. culturing the microalgae by using three different media(BG11,BBM,CHU1O), Phycologicaly , a total of 133 algal species were identified belong to 7 classes; Bacillarophyceae ,Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae , Crysophyceae , Pyrrophyceae , Euglenophyceae and Rodophyceae..All studied sites dominated by diatom algal species.
