Self-efficacy and Self-regulation Hawkar Omar Ali Department of English Language, Faculty of Education, Koya University http://koyauniversity.org Abstract: Self-efficacy and self-regulation are key processes that affect students’ learning and achievement. Self-efficacy is individuals’ perceived expectations for learning and their beliefs regarding their ability to perform tasks at specified levels of complexity. Moreover, self-regulation is a systematic process of human behavior that involves setting personal goals and steering behavior toward the achievement of established goals. Further, this seminar will focus attention on their mediation and their influence on students’ performance.
