Outline Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering

Chemical engineering covers the steps in a product's production, from the pure chemistry through to the economics. It deals with the application of physical science like ( chemistry and physics), and life sciences (e.g., biology, microbiology and biochemistry) with mathematics and economics, to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals  into more useful or valuable forms. In addition to producing useful materials, modern chemical engineering is also concerned with pioneering valuable new materials and techniques – such as nanotechnology, fuel cells and biomedical engineering. Chemical engineers design, create and optimize the systems and equipment used in chemical, industrial, biological and environmental processes, producing a range of materials.

Environmental Engineering It uses the knowledge of the basic sciences – biology, chemistry, biochemistry and physics – to neutralize pollution in all the elements of the environment, i.e. the hydrosphere, atmosphere and lithosphere.It deals with the design and maintenance of systems of water supply, sewage disposal, heating, ventilation and air conditioning in buildings and it is essential for development of facilities for protection of the environment and for the proper management of natural resources. Chemical engineers should have good information about environmental engineering to protect the environment when they deals chemical compounds and other materials
